Singapore LNG Corporation operates Singapore’s first open‑access, multi‑user LNG terminal, supplying roughly half of the country’s natural gas for power generation. As it pursued a cloud‑first IT modernization to support expansion and energy security, the company faced migration challenges—clustered databases and other apps weren’t supported by its initial tools—so it needed an easy‑to‑manage, low‑risk solution that would also reduce ongoing administrative overhead.

Using Veeam Data Platform, Singapore LNG migrated 80 virtual machines to the cloud and now protects just under 10 TB of on‑premises data for terminal operations, workflow management and engineering documentation. The Veeam solution smoothed the migration, minimized risk and complexity, improved service continuity, and cut backup administration time—freeing the IT team to focus on higher‑value work and enabling plans to expand Veeam for disaster recovery and future cloud recovery needs.
