Hospital San Javier, a 30‑year‑old tertiary care hospital in Guadalajara known for pioneering medical technology and warm patient care, faced rapidly growing volumes of clinical, imaging and administrative data. Their legacy backup approach struggled to keep pace, leaving electronic medical records, imaging, Oracle databases and other systems vulnerable to outages and increasing cyber threats — jeopardizing the hospital’s need for 24/7 data availability across the patient journey.

Working with Veeam and partner Capital Information Technology, the hospital deployed the Veeam Data Platform to protect its entire environment (six physical servers hosting 60 VMs across two data centers) and 20 TB of data. The solution delivers dependable replication at least twice daily, granular restores with zero data loss, and 100% data protection, reducing downtime and reputational risk while enabling clinicians to access information quickly and supporting future moves to hyperconverged infrastructure.
