A Veeam Case Study
Hong Kong Maxim’s Group, a leading food-and-beverage operator with over 1,800 outlets across Asia, faced rapidly growing data volumes as it embraced digital services. Its legacy SAN-and-tape backup approach could not keep up with increased capacity and throughput demands, creating risk to CRM, ERP and other critical systems and prompting the need for faster, more reliable backups and improved RTO/RPO for business continuity.
The group upgraded to Veeam Availability Suite, moving to a scale-out storage architecture and cloud object backup (Oracle Cloud) to replace tape, enable direct cloud restores and standardize disaster recovery across locations. The solution cut recovery times from hours to minutes (reported 300% RTO improvement), delivered about 50% in backup cost savings, and strengthened hybrid-cloud continuity and cyber resilience while supporting future cloud initiatives.
