Intertrust Guernsey, a banking-focused trust and corporate services provider and part of the Intertrust Group, manages about 100 virtual machines on 12 hosts across two datacenters. The ICT team needed a robust disaster-recovery solution that combined backup and replication—previous tools were limited and infrequently updated—so they trialed Veeam Backup & Replication with support from partner Recarta IT.

Veeam provided full VM replication, rapid file-level restores (minutes versus tape-based hours), and vApp-aware backups that align with their VMware vSphere infrastructure, allowing fast recovery of critical servers without costly clustering. The result was faster, more reliable recoveries and simplified disaster-recovery operations, demonstrated during a successful datacenter migration.
