Global Tea Company Infuses Data centre with VMware and Veeam

Tata Global Beverages, the world’s second-largest tea manufacturer with 3,000 employees and operations in 150 locations, needed comprehensive data protection and VMware management for its modern data centre where virtual machines run critical business applications. The challenge was to ensure business continuity with fast recovery, visibility and control across a large VMware vSphere environment.

Tata deployed Veeam Backup Management Suite to provide backup, replication, monitoring, reporting and capacity planning for its VMware infrastructure. Veeam’s compression and deduplication reduced backup storage to about 25% of HP capacity, while features like replication, SureBackup and Instant VM Recovery enabled frequent backups, fast recoveries and tested restores. The result was improved visibility and control, proactive 24x7 monitoring, reliable RPOs/RTOs and more efficient capacity planning across the virtual and backup environments.
