CBRE Asia Pacific, the regional arm of global real estate firm CBRE, supports thousands of employees across 87 offices and runs two modern, 95%-virtualized data centers (Hong Kong and Sydney) with about 500 VMs. Rapid growth and acquisitions multiplied data volumes and exposed limits in legacy tape- and physical-server backup tools, which couldn’t efficiently protect or replicate VMs across a high-latency WAN — putting SLAs and time-sensitive mortgage-evaluation workflows at risk.

CBRE deployed Veeam Backup & Replication and Veeam Management Pack to enable WAN-accelerated backup and replication, Instant VM Recovery, SureBackup/SureReplica verification, Virtual Labs testing, and unified monitoring and capacity planning. The result: RTOs/RPOs from 15 minutes, verified recoverability and greatly reduced data-loss risk, a 20 TB migration that went from a multi-day task to under an hour, and complete visibility to meet SLAs and sustain a competitive advantage.
