A Veeam Case Study
Vestas Wind Systems A/S, the world’s leading wind turbine developer and manufacturer supporting about 17,000 employees, faced fragmented IT monitoring: physical infrastructure was managed in Microsoft System Center while the virtual environment used a separate native tool. This split created duplicate troubleshooting across teams and left gaps in VM performance visibility, capacity planning and a holistic view of the entire IT stack.
Vestas deployed Veeam Management Pack for VMware to extend deep VMware monitoring into System Center, unifying alerts, dashboards and reports in a single console. The result: correlated alerts and one team handling incidents, faster root-cause identification (including a storage-path outage that might otherwise have been missed), improved reaction times, and better capacity planning and what‑if modeling to optimize the virtual environment.
