Frávega powers its appliance business with Veeam Intelligent Data Management

Frávega, a leading Argentine electronics and appliance retailer with more than 100 years of experience and around 4,000 employees, faced a critical challenge: tape-based backups that couldn’t guarantee full virtual machine recovery or acceptable restore times. Outages were rare but recovery was slow and uncertain, often requiring VM reinstalls and manual file restores that prolonged service unavailability and business impact.

Partnering with channel Géminis, Frávega implemented Veeam Availability Suite — leveraging Instant Recovery, indexing, SQL Explorer, backup copy to AWS, replication and SureRecovery — to enable near-instant restores, point-file and database recovery, automated recovery testing and virtual migrations. The deployment migrated 340 VMs in three phases (about 2-hour service windows each), significantly reduced downtime and recovery effort, and lowered overall backup costs while improving confidence in backup consistency.
