Flex is a global design and manufacturing partner with 20+ design centers, more than 100 manufacturing sites and roughly 160,000 employees. Because many sites run 24/7, even minutes of downtime can disrupt production and customer deliveries. Flex needed VM-level backup, replication and recoverability testing, but its legacy backup tools could neither replicate nor verify backups — creating unacceptable risk to manufacturing operations.

Flex implemented Veeam Backup & Replication to validate recoverability (SureBackup/SureReplica), enable Instant VM Recovery and granular SQL restores, centralize backup management, and tier archives to cloud object storage via Capacity Tier. Veeam now protects about 1 PB across 1,000+ VMs and 50 physical machines, provides one‑click failover orchestration and instant recoveries, and offers verified replicas plus seamless cloud integration for resilient, modern data protection.
