Essilor Amera, the regional arm of global lens manufacturer Essilor, was undergoing a digital transformation to scale manufacturing and distribution across a fast-growing region. The company faced a critical challenge: its existing data protection couldn’t guarantee recovery from infrastructure corruption or ransomware, and it needed native cloud backup, seamless migration support and flexible licensing that could adapt annually to changing IT environments.

Essilor deployed Veeam Backup & Replication to provide native Azure backup and recovery, fast VM replication for cloud migration, and flexible annual licensing. Veeam now protects 45 TB across 600 VMs (on‑premises, between data centers and in Azure), enables restores between on‑prem and Azure, simplifies migrations and support, and delivered $80,000 in licensing savings over three years while significantly improving IT resiliency.
