A Veeam Case Study
Enloe Medical Center, a Level II trauma center in Chico, California, faced unreliable, resource-intensive backups that left IT unsure data was fully protected and unable to test restores — unacceptable risks for a hospital that depends on instant access to patient information. The team sought a dependable, low‑overhead data protection strategy to reduce administration time and strengthen defenses against cyberattacks.
Working with Dasher Technologies and Veeam, Enloe deployed Veeam Availability Suite and Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365, implementing daily snapshots, frequent incremental backups, off‑site copies and regular test restores. The new approach cut restore times by up to 99% (from two weeks to about an hour), saved roughly 20 hours per week on backup administration, and allowed the hospital to recover from a ransomware incident without paying a ransom—restoring 25% of critical systems in 48 hours, 75% in 96 hours and 95% in two weeks.
