Datalogic, a global leader in data-capture and process-automation devices with operations across 27 countries, set out to centralize R&D and engineering workloads in Google Cloud to accelerate collaboration and innovation. The company needed a low‑risk way to migrate large volumes of data and VMs while ensuring ongoing, reliable protection for its growing 400 TB estate.

Datalogic adopted the Veeam Data Platform (Premium), using Veeam to replicate and power on VMs in Google Cloud and to back up both on‑premises and cloud systems. The move enabled seamless workload mobility, near‑100% backup success, centralized visibility and faster recovery, and helped earn a high third‑party cyber‑security rating while positioning the company for a multi‑cloud future.
