Alliance Healthcare, the Czech Republic’s leading pharmaceutical provider, operated a VMware environment of about 90 VMs that supported critical applications (Oracle databases, online ordering, billing and inventory). The IT team needed a fast, reliable disaster‑recovery and backup solution because their previous tool required suspending VMs to restore and was too slow and inefficient.

Working with Bull, Alliance Healthcare deployed Veeam Backup & Replication and Veeam ONE to provide fast backups, replication, automated recoverability checks and 24x7 monitoring and reporting. The solution enabled recovery of about 40 VMs in a few hours over a 1 Gbps LAN, accelerated file‑level restores, saved thousands of hours through SureBackup and Instant File‑Level Recovery, optimized capacity planning, and ensured business continuity.
