A Veeam Case Study

Preview of the CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz Case Study

CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz utilizes Veeam to secure client data and expand digital services in a hybrid cloud environment

CMS Reich‑Rohrwig Hainz is a leading Austrian law firm with about 330 employees and offices across Central and Southeastern Europe. The COVID‑19 pandemic forced a rapid redesign to a hybrid cloud model to enable remote work, but the firm needed to ensure strict security, GDPR compliance, legal retention, ransomware protection and an exit strategy when moving critical applications and data off premise.

To meet those requirements CMS implemented Veeam across its hybrid environment—protecting VMware virtual machines, physical servers, Microsoft 365 (including Teams), and Azure backups, with Veeam ONE monitoring and Disaster Recovery Orchestrator for testing and orchestration. The result is centralized, encrypted backups and easy restores (down to Teams channels), demonstrable compliance with retention laws and GDPR, immediate alerting and capacity planning, and fast recovery in incidents (for example after the Zagreb earthquake), allowing the firm to expand secure digital services without compromising client data.
