Nexica is a Spanish managed‑ICT and cloud hosting provider (data center in Barcelona, backup site in Madrid) serving medium and large customers such as Mango and Vueling. When launching its cloud server offering it needed a reliable, VMware‑native backup and recovery solution—its previous product didn’t integrate well with VMware vCloud Director or Nexica’s Cloud Manager control panel.

Nexica deployed Veeam Backup & Replication to provide per‑client backup policies, scalable nodes/proxies and efficient deduplication. Today it protects about 300 VMs and 20 TB of compressed backups (with growth expected), achieves fast full backups (50 GB ≈15 minutes) and near‑instant restores (~2 minutes), benefits from flexible licensing, and is now able to offer Recovery‑as‑a‑Service that adds value and drives new business.
