Complejo Hospitalario Universitario Insular – Materno Infantil (CHUIMI) is a public hospital complex in Gran Canaria with 865 beds that provides general, maternal and pediatric care as well as specialized treatments. As CHUIMI moved to containerized applications and introduced AI-enabled services, it faced rising cyberthreats and the need to ensure critical systems and data remain available 24/7 while enabling fast, low-risk development.

CHUIMI adopted Veeam Data Platform Foundation with Kasten K10 to protect both traditional and Kubernetes workloads, performing incremental backups every ten minutes, adding immutable off-site copies, and enabling near-instant rollback.
