Business France, the French national agency for international business development with about 1,500 employees and operations in 70 countries, needed a reliable, high‑speed backup and disaster‑recovery solution for its modern, mostly virtualized Paris data center. After several inadequate tools, the agency faced the challenge of protecting critical applications across a mixed VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper‑V environment while enabling fast recovery and a tested DR plan.

They deployed Veeam Availability Suite to provide unified backup, replication and automated recovery testing (SureBackup), replicating on‑site and to a remote Marseille site. Results included a reduction in backup windows (from ~2 hours to 30 minutes), instant VM recovery in under two minutes, rapid single‑item restores, verified recoverability, better monitoring and a single cross‑platform solution protecting ~130 VMs across ~20 hosts, significantly improving availability and lowering data‑loss risk.
