Carglass, a leading vehicle glass repair and replacement company and Belron subsidiary, expanded into the home repair market after acquiring Maisoning and launching Carglass Maison. To support the new business, consolidate ERP systems and operate across two extended WLAN data centers, IT needed a more robust backup strategy: existing LTO tape backups and limited storage produced long backup windows, short retention and a risk of service interruption that could cost the company roughly €2 million for 24 hours of downtime.

Carglass deployed Veeam Backup & Replication integrated with ExaGrid deduplication appliances. The joint solution reduced full backup time from 12 to 7 hours (42% faster), sped VM recoveries from up to 2 hours to about 5–10 minutes (up to 24x faster), extended retention to 31 days, protected millions in revenue and simplified daily IT operations.
