BSH Hausgeräte GmbH achieves high data availability and resilience with Veeam

BSH Hausgeräte GmbH, a leading home‑appliance manufacturer behind brands such as Bosch, Siemens and Neff, operates 38 factories and over 50 non‑production sites worldwide and needed to ensure high data availability for its move to “connected factories” and industrial IoT. To avoid downtime and protect an increasingly diverse and virtualized IT environment, BSH sought a reliable, non‑disruptive, centrally managed data protection solution.

BSH deployed Veeam Data Platform — Advanced to centrally protect VMware‑based VMs, physical servers, Oracle and SQL databases and IoT applications, gaining a single point of control that’s easy to manage with a small team. The result: backups accelerated fivefold and recoveries tenfold, improved cyber‑resilience and disaster response (used successfully after a factory flood), and significant storage savings via deduplication and compression (e.g., 130 TB reduced to 2.4 TB of incremental transfer).
