Bank of Botetourt is a 100-year‑old community bank in southwestern Virginia serving about 15,000 customers with 150 employees. The bank relied on an old, overly complex backup system that was slow, inconsistent and required laborious administration—problems that became critical after a loss of IT staff and as customers demanded reliable, real‑time access to accounts via mobile devices.

With help from partner Advanced Logic Industries, the bank implemented Veeam Backup & Replication with Instant VM Recovery, replacing the legacy solution with an intuitive Cloud Data Management platform. The change cut backup and recovery times dramatically (backup windows shortened from ~10 hours to 2.5 hours and recoveries now take roughly 1.5–2 hours), ensured constant availability of statements and check images, enabled reliable restores of critical servers, and improved business continuity and customer satisfaction.
