Voies navigables de France, which manages 6,700 kilometers of France’s inland waterway network, needed a way to protect critical applications and data as it migrated more workloads to the cloud. With 4,500+ employees across 500 locations and growing compliance demands, the organization turned to Veeam to improve data resilience for both cloud and on-premises systems while keeping costs under control.

Veeam implemented Veeam Data Platform and Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 to unify backup and recovery across VNF’s environment. The results included faster recovery for files and emails, self-service restores that reduced IT workload, and scalable protection with predictable costs; VNF also improved its ability to meet NIS2 incident-response requirements with immutable, searchable backups.
