Séquano recovers from a major cybersecurity attack with Veeam

Séquano, a French urban redevelopment company, needed fast, reliable access to about 50 TB of project, legal, financial, and operational documents to keep complex regeneration work and new bids on track. After a major cybersecurity risk exposed the need for stronger protection, Séquano turned to Veeam, using Veeam Data Platform and Veeam Cloud Connect for Service Providers to secure its data.

Veeam implemented immutable cloud backups and a mirrored recovery setup with OCI, enabling immediate failover in normal operations and clean restoration after serious incidents. When Séquano was hit by a ransomware attack in January 2024, Veeam helped restore the full environment to an air-gapped system and verify the backups, bringing the company back to normal operations in about ten days and strengthening business continuity.
