The EDAG Group Flips the Script on Ransomware

EDAG Group, a major independent development partner to the automotive and aviation industries, was hit by a ransomware attack on March 13, 2021 that rendered many business-critical systems unusable. Facing the risk of lingering malicious activity and future breaches, EDAG needed rapid, precise visibility across its entire environment to safely restore operations and prevent recurrence.

EDAG ran a proof of concept with Vectra and worked with Orange Cyberdefense to deploy an AI-driven detection and response platform (Cognito) within days. The solution provided non‑invasive, enterprise‑wide visibility across cloud, data center and IoT, enriched threat context for faster response, eliminated potential relapses, and gave EDAG’s security team greater efficiency and an “anchor of trust” in their network.
