Matteo Thun & Partners - Customer Case Study

Matteo Thun & Partners is a Milan‑based, multidisciplinary design firm known for sustainable, longevity‑focused architecture, interiors and product design. The studio was tasked with designing Hugo Boss Industries’ 14,460 m² Swiss headquarters — a three‑story, light‑filled building for 300 people — under a fast fashion‑industry timetable and with a programmatic requirement for open, wall‑free workspaces that blended with the site’s culture and climate.

Thun’s team combined sustainable prefabricated materials and building‑management systems with a distinctive larch‑wood lattice and generous atrium, and used Vectorworks Architect to rapidly iterate plans and produce detailed, presentation‑quality drawings. Delivered in 2006, the result is a transparent, energy‑efficient headquarters that supports collaborative, flexible work, meets the client’s speed and aesthetic needs, and expresses the firm’s commitment to lasting, sustainable design.
