Candusso Arquitetos is a São Paulo–based firm led by father-son architects Roberto and Renato Candusso, with a team of over 50 professionals and a portfolio of more than 1,300 projects. They were tasked with two high-profile challenges: creating the freeform, terrain-sensitive Amazon River Palace Hotel with dramatic open terraces and a soaring central lobby, and designing the distinctive, high-end Florida Penthouses condominiums with a protected “DNA” floor plan and exacting façade and measurement requirements.

To meet those demands the team relied on Vectorworks Architect—using Digital Terrain Modeling to fit buildings to the rolling riverbank, 3D and massing studies, BIM Space tools and wall-sculpting features, plus database queries for accurate net areas. The result: award-winning designs (four awards at the 7th Grande Prêmio de Arquitetura Corporativa), striking skyline and interiors, and strengthened recognition for the firm’s bold, technically rigorous work.
