Arx Pax - Customer Case Study

Arx Pax, LLC — founded by Greg and Jill Henderson in Los Gatos — set out to turn a science-fiction dream into reality: a working hoverboard and, ultimately, a way to levitate buildings and protect communities from natural disasters. The challenge was to invent a practical, scalable levitation technology, overcome skepticism and funding constraints, and demonstrate real-world value beyond a novelty product.

They developed and patented Magnetic Field Architecture (MFA) and launched the Hendo Hoverboard as a proof of concept, using crowdfunding, Vectorworks design software and rapid 3D prototyping to iterate quickly. The campaign raised funds, generated major publicity (including TIME recognition) and industry interest, preserved the company’s independence for continued R&D, and positioned MFA for applications from disaster-resilient foundations to servers, vehicles and humanitarian use in flood-prone regions.
