Case Study: Yale University increases community engagement and access to service-dog visits with Vector Solutions' LiveSafe app

Yale University’s Yale Public Safety introduced Heidi the service dog in 2020 to support outreach and relationship-building on campus, but community members initially had to email an officer to request a visit. To simplify access, Yale partnered with Vector Solutions and used the LiveSafe mobile app to make requesting Heidi easier for students and staff.

Vector Solutions’ LiveSafe team implemented a customized card on the app home screen for quick visit requests and Yale Public Safety sent a LiveSafe Broadcast to announce the feature. The solution improved access to the Heidi program, strengthened YPD’s community engagement, and demonstrated Yale Public Safety’s commitment to an innovative outreach initiative.
