Worcester Public Schools Improve Educator Success with Online Evaluations & PD Tracking

The Worcester Public School System, the third largest district in Massachusetts with more than 2,400 teachers and administrators, needed to move from a paper-based educator evaluation process to a scalable online platform that also tracked professional development. After a two-year phased evaluation and rollout, the district selected Vector Solutions’ Vector Evaluations+ (formerly TeachPoint) and worked with Vector Solutions to develop and launch the Vector PD Tracking tool across the district in the 2015–2016 school year.

Vector Solutions implemented Vector Evaluations+ for centralized observations, customizable forms and evidence upload, and the Vector PD Tracking tool for scheduling, registration and certificate management, giving teachers and administrators a single place to manage PD and evaluations. The centralized system scaled to the district’s 2,400+ staff, reduced time spent hunting for documentation, enabled principals to access historical performance data to better support teacher improvement, and helped Worcester focus more time on improving teacher effectiveness rather than administrative tasks.
