Utility One Source - Customer Case Study

Utility One Source, a fast-growing equipment sales, rental, and repair company built from three family businesses and rapidly acquiring smaller firms nationwide, needed to scale safety and operations training for widely dispersed employees and customers. To meet that challenge they partnered with Vector Solutions to deploy health and safety eLearning and a learning management system (LMS) to standardize and administer training across the organization.

Vector Solutions implemented an LMS and course content that let Utility One Source bring training in-house (including previously outsourced dielectric training), roll it out on low-cost Chromebooks, and track completion and performance. The program “paid for itself,” reduced per-employee training cost to about $4.50 per year, improved employee engagement and retention, secured management buy-in, and sped up development of skilled technicians — with Vector Solutions providing the training, tracking, and support that made those gains possible.
