A Vector Solutions Case Study
A.T. Still University, the world’s first school of osteopathic medicine with campuses in Missouri and Arizona and a reach of 22,000+ students, faced a fragmented approach to diversity and no shared vision when Clinton A. Normore became its first diversity director. To build a common language of inclusion across departments and campuses, A.T. Still turned to Vector Solutions and its DiversityEdu online training platform to provide structured, institution-wide diversity education.
Vector Solutions worked closely with A.T. Still University to roll out DiversityEdu using a “cascade” approach—starting with senior leadership, then faculty—with active collaboration during pre-, during- and post-course phases and iterative feedback. The program created a baseline of knowledge and skills, established a common inclusion language, and led to changes in hiring practices and policies at A.T. Still; Vector Solutions continues to support expansion plans, including facilitator guides and mini-courses.
