Northwestern State University Turns to Vector Solutions to Support its Hazing Prevention Efforts

Northwestern State University, a public university in Natchitoches, Louisiana, needed a more engaging way to deliver hazing prevention training to both in-person and remote students. The university had been using an online program that wasn’t resonating with students, and leaders wanted a course that felt more personalized and reflected the school’s mission. To address this, Northwestern State University turned to Vector Solutions and its Hazing Prevention Course.

Vector Solutions implemented a customized hazing prevention program that could be used by virtual and on-campus students and integrated it with the university’s in-person hazing prevention efforts. The result was more meaningful student engagement, with conversations replacing simple checkbox compliance and positive feedback from participants; the course also included pre- and post-assessments to measure learning. Vector Solutions helped Northwestern State University meet Louisiana’s hazing prevention education requirement for incoming students while launching the program in time for Hazing Prevention Month.
