Naperville Fire Department, a 201-member career department serving 10 stations in the Chicago suburbs, needed a better way to track combustion exposures, COVID exposures, critical incidents, and employee recognition. Using Vector Solutions’ Guardian Tracking, they wanted to move away from paper-based reporting so they could better protect firefighter health, preserve records for potential line-of-duty illness claims, and reduce the time spent handling records requests and documentation.
Vector Solutions implemented Guardian Tracking to digitize exposure and incident reporting, route notifications to the right supervisors and command staff, and enable peer-to-peer kudos and performance documentation. As a result, Naperville FD saved valuable time, improved the accuracy and accessibility of its records, and made it easier for supervisors to quickly access information for performance reviews, while also supporting firefighter wellness and readiness.
