Monroe Public Schools was seeking a way to streamline HIB incident reporting and trend analysis.

Monroe Public Schools, a K–12 district serving about 7,000 students, needed a more efficient, centralized way to document, investigate and analyze harassment, intimidation and bullying (HIB) reports and to comply with Washington House Bill 2801. Facing fragmented records across multiple databases, the district selected Vector Solutions’ Vector Alert Tip Reporting System (formerly SafeSchools Alert) to streamline reporting and safeguard students.

Vector Solutions implemented a custom Vector Alert system (deployed in 2011) that lets staff, students and parents confidentially submit tips 24/7 via phone, text, email and web, routes immediate notifications to appropriate staff, and centralizes investigation documentation and HIB reporting. Using Vector Solutions’ platform, Monroe has created and resolved close to 300 tickets, improved consistency and documentation across buildings, saved substantial administrative time, and now produces exportable, HB 2801–compliant reports and custom analytics to support prevention efforts.
