Los Alamos County ECC Using Vector LMS to Meet Training Goals

Los Alamos County Dispatch (LACD) — led by Shift Supervisor and Accreditation and Training Manager Roberto Lujan — struggled to track licenses, certifications and training expirations using email reminders and ad-hoc resources. To centralize training and improve accountability, Los Alamos County implemented Vector Solutions’ Vector LMS in 2019 to manage assignments, certificates and policy acknowledgements.

Using Vector Solutions’ Vector LMS, LACD set automated 90/60/30‑day reminders, assigned CAPCE courses from the LMS library, delivered policy reviews with signatures and stored resources in a File Center. The system replaced the previous email workflow, made it easy to spot gaps in training for 16 full‑time dispatchers who answer ~51,000 calls per year, enabled continuing education without travel or overtime, and supports LACD’s pursuit of IAED ACE accreditation.
