Hartford Public Schools Reaches 97% Completion Rate for Safety and Compliance Training

Hartford Public Schools, the largest public school district in Connecticut with over 20,000 students and 3,000 employees across 46 schools, needed a user-friendly system to manage and track safety and compliance training. The district had been holding large group meetings that felt inefficient and saw only about 50% of staff completing mandatory trainings. They selected Vector Solutions’ Vector Training Online Training System (formerly SafeSchools Training) to provide customizable, easy-to-navigate online courses and centralized tracking.

Vector Solutions implemented the Vector Training platform so staff can complete trainings online at their convenience while admins set up courses, run reports, send notifications, and assign individualized training. Within two years Hartford reached a 97% completion rate, staff completed nearly 24,000 Vector Training courses since 2017, and the district’s compliance rating increased by over 50%, improving accountability and helping prevent safety incidents.
