Georgina Fire & Rescue in Ontario Uplevels Its Training and Checks

Georgina Fire and Rescue Services, a three‑station composite department in Ontario with 40 full‑time and 60 volunteer firefighters, needed a more efficient way to deliver, track, and report mission‑critical training and to manage apparatus, vehicle, and inventory checks. To address this, the department implemented Vector Solutions’ Learning Management System (Vector LMS) and the Vector Check It mobile app in late 2019.

Vector Solutions provided a customized LMS with SCORM content, credentialing, notifications, activity and file repositories, and event tracking to assign and report on four distinct training plans, while Vector Check It enabled timestamped mobile inspections, work orders, vendor access, and historical equipment records (including SCBAs). The result was streamlined assignment and progress reporting, real‑time notifications, digital tablet‑based checks at every truck, and a shift from paper to auditable digital records—improving accountability, standardization, and operational efficiency.
