Gannon University Addressing Disregard for COVID-19 Policies

Gannon University, a private Catholic university in Erie, Pennsylvania with nearly 4,500 students, faced widespread noncompliance with COVID‑19 mask policies as students and some faculty returned to campus. To help monitor and report these concerns, Gannon adopted Vector Solutions’ Vector LiveSafe mobile app so the campus community could flag mask‑wearing violations quickly and anonymously.

Using Vector LiveSafe, students submitted tips with location details and photos or video, enabling university security to identify and address violations or misunderstandings in real time. Vector Solutions’ solution improved understanding of mask expectations, helped enforcement efforts, and increased overall campus health and safety—so much so that Gannon staff say the app was essential to remaining operational.
