DuPont Job-Skills Training Builds Confidence and Competence

DuPont’s Maydown plant needed to build skills and knowledge to compensate for retirements of experienced staff and lacked the resources to create a complete custom program. After a training assessment, DuPont learned about Vector Solutions and implemented its Industrial Maintenance eLearning courses (integrated into DuPont’s iLearn LMS), launching a structured 80–90 course online training program to teach fundamentals and advance technicians’ understanding of pumps, valves and process systems.

Vector Solutions’ interactive eLearning, combined with on-the-job coaching, delivered consistent, plant-wide core knowledge with minimal downtime for training. The Vector Solutions courses improved technicians’ troubleshooting ability and confidence, provided repeatable triennial refreshers, and produced positive feedback from leadership and operators that the initiative was taking the organization in the right direction.
