A Vector Solutions Case Study
Draper Police Department, serving south of Salt Lake City, prioritizes a highly trained force—officers receive at least 120 training hours a year—and needed a better way to document training, share records with leadership, ensure comprehensive compliance tracking, and document monthly supervisor check-ins. After evaluating options, Draper PD selected Vector Solutions’ Learning Management System (LMS), Evaluations+ (formerly TargetSolutions), and later the Check It asset-management tool to centralize training, policy acknowledgments, DORs, and equipment tracking.
Vector Solutions implemented the LMS and Evaluations+ to schedule, deliver, track and report online and in-person training, enable mobile DORs and field evaluations, and document supervisors’ monthly reviews, while Check It handles equipment and vehicle maintenance tracking. The result: all training data is in one place (a report that once took hours can now be pulled in about five minutes), online prep is saving 3–4 hours of classroom time per training, compliance notifications and reminders are automated, and accountability has improved across the department.
