District Launches Innovative Badge Program to Recognize Employees Who Complete Safety Training

Royse City Independent School District, a Texas district serving almost 5,500 students and 800 employees across nine schools, faced difficulty finding time to train staff on essential safety and security topics amid other curriculum demands. To streamline compliance and engagement, the district partnered with Vector Solutions and adopted the Vector Training (formerly SafeSchools) Online Training System.

Vector Solutions helped Royse City launch an innovative badge program—CPR, Medical, Safety, and Security—where staff earn badges and certificates by completing specified Vector Training and district policy courses (e.g., CPR: 2 courses/6 hours; Medical: 15 courses/3.65 hours; Safety: 13 courses/4.25 hours; Security: 10 courses/4.6 hours). Since the program began in 2016, staff have completed almost 23,000 safety courses in Vector Training, enabling the district to meet training mandates and create a safer learning environment.
