Navigating the future of GPS

Interstate Electronics, a division of L3 Communications, needed to modernize the MUE program to fund and advance design of new GPS receiver technology for future military requirements. The key challenge was performing rigorous low-level structural testing to qualify the updated receivers and support program modernization.

L3 implemented VectorCAST/C++ and VectorCAST/Cover along with their qualification materials to perform the required structural testing. The tools delivered the necessary verification for the MUE modernization effort and have been used successfully by Interstate Electronics since 2006 on projects like the L3 TruTrak Evolution GPS receivers.
