Navigating the Challenge of DO-178B Level A Software Development

AYESAŞ is a Turkish defense-industry software provider specializing in safety-critical avionics with DO-178B Level A/B/C experience. They develop systems such as multi-function displays (MFDs), control display units (CDUs), mission computers, TCAS, digital map generators and ADS‑B transponders for customers including ACSS, Rockwell Collins, L-3, ASELSAN, TUSAS and AgustaWestland. The team needed to achieve DO-178B Level A certification for these systems within a shortened development cycle.

To meet the schedule, AYESAŞ adopted VectorCAST/C++ for unit and integration testing and VectorCAST/Cover for code coverage analysis. The tools streamlined verification and coverage workflows, accelerating testing and supporting the DO-178B Level A certification effort for their avionics software.
