Magna uses VectorCAST to meet ISO 26262 certification

Magna Powertrain, a leading global supplier of powertrain design, development, testing and manufacturing, needed an automated software test solution that delivered high performance and came from a vendor experienced in safety‑critical testing with TÜV SÜD certification for IEC 61508 and ISO 26262.

Magna selected VectorCAST/C++, VectorCAST/Cover, and VectorCAST/RSP to perform automated unit and integration testing and measure code coverage for their embedded driveline software. The VectorCAST toolset provided the testing, coverage metrics, and traceability needed to support ISO 26262 compliance and demonstrate that code units were fully tested and verified.
