Hoana Medical, founded in 2002, is a leader in "Intelligent Medical Vigilance" for acute care hospitals and developed the Lifebed™ Patient Vigilance System to monitor cardiac and respiratory function. To obtain FDA compliance for this lifesaving device, Hoana needed to fully test and certify the embedded software that runs the system.

Hoana chose VectorCAST to automate unit, integration and system-level testing and support the software validation process. Using VectorCAST, Hoana completed the rigorous testing required for its first FDA-cleared Lifebed system, enabling the device to reliably transform any patient stretcher into an untethered alert network for cardiac and respiratory monitoring.
