BAE Systems needed to certify the Ada95 and C/C++ software for the Hawk advanced jet trainer Mission Computer to DO-178B Level A, requiring rigorous, repeatable testing and a fully automated regression environment to support continuous builds and integration.

VectorCAST/Ada delivered an automated unit and integration testing solution for complex Ada95 code and supported BAE’s continuous build process. Off-the-shelf Tool Qualification Documents and complementary VectorCAST products (Cover, C++, Ada, RSP, Requirements Gateway) enabled rapid tool qualification and helped BAE meet DO-178B requirements; VectorCAST has been used on the Hawk program since 2002.
