Case Study: Plastic Partner achieves in-house recycling of hard plastic production waste with Vecoplan

Shredding of Solid, Technical Hard Plastics - a Powerhouse of Endurance

The customer, Plastic Partner, a supplier of thermoplastics, needed to recycle its expensive and demanding technical hard plastics production waste in-house. They required a robust solution to shred this hard material and return it to their production cycle. Vecoplan provided a custom-configured Heavy Duty version of their VAZ 1600 XL shredder for this task.

Vecoplan’s solution was a heavily reinforced machine with specialized components like hardened cutters and an optimized hydraulic unit, designed to handle large, solid plastic lumps. This allowed Plastic Partner to shred materials like PA6 and PP at a rate of up to 3,000 kg/h into 50mm particles for regranulation. The customer confirmed that Vecoplan fulfilled all their wishes, enabling them to create a profitable in-house recycling cycle for their production waste since the project began in July 2017.
