In-house Film Recycling - Granulate Quality in Your Own Hands

RKW Agri, a part of the RKW Group, faced challenges in efficiently recycling its production film waste within its Michelstadt plant due to high sustainability goals and severely limited space around its existing extruders. They enlisted Vecoplan to design and supply a complete shredding and recycling system that could overcome these spatial constraints.

Vecoplan implemented a two-level solution integrating a V-ECO 1300 shredder with material handling and separation technology to process the film waste. The system, which includes a buffer silo for process reliability, achieves a throughput of up to 2,700 kg/h and has resulted in significantly lower costs, higher quality output material, and increased productivity for RKW Agri.
