Fiber and Filament Shredding - Consistent Shredding Quality for Endless Materials

Böhm Entsorgung, a recycling company, was challenged by the difficult task of shredding a wide variety of fiber and filament production waste. The materials, which had extreme lengths and a strong tendency to wrap around equipment, required a robust shredding solution. They partnered with shredding technology expert Vecoplan to address this problem.

Vecoplan provided a customized V-ECO 1700 single-shaft shredder with a reinforced cutting unit and optimized rotor sealing. The solution successfully processed materials like PET and nylon at a high capacity of up to 3,500 kg/h, producing a consistent 50mm particle size for use as refuse-derived fuel (RDF). Since its installation, the Vecoplan system has delivered constant, high output quality with reduced noise.
