The customer, Energiepark Sisslerfeld AG, needed to build a new wood-fired power plant to replace its fossil fuel facility, requiring a system for the continuous and reliable handling of wood fuel. Vecoplan provided the solution by supplying a comprehensive and tailored system for the conveying, storing, and dosing of biomass material to feed the plant's boiler.

Vecoplan implemented a custom-designed system that included conveyors, drag chain dischargers, and storage technology to ensure a seamless and automated material flow. The solution optimized the use of limited space while guaranteeing high energy efficiency and continuous operational reliability. As a result, the plant now supplies steam to three companies and electricity for approximately 17,500 households, reducing CO2 emissions by an estimated 600 kg for every cubic meter of wood used instead of fossil fuels.
