GEODIS, a leading global supply chain operator and third-party logistics (3PL) provider, needed to enhance the process of picking up and putting away materials within its distribution centers. Vecna Robotics implemented its APT automated pallet trucks, orchestrated by its Pivotal™ software system, at a GEODIS facility. The solution automated workflows like dock-to-stock and put-away, with the AMRs transporting pallets over long distances. This implementation by Vecna Robotics resulted in a 30% improvement in operator productivity by eliminating horizontal travel and reducing trips to the dock. GEODIS was so pleased with the results that it has expanded the use of the robots and continues to work with Vecna on developing new solutions.
